flavors: BANANA - ORANGE - RUM - WAFFLE
ideal for: ESPRESSO/LATTÉ and FILTER/POUROVER
AGED IN BARREL
This barrel-aged coffee is the result of close collaboration between the Distillerie de Québec and us.
Honduran producer Antoñio Ramirez's coffee rested in oak barrels that were used to age St-Roc rum . Once roasted, you get an exceptional coffee with complex aromas of banana, orange, rum and waffles.
PRICE PAID DIRECTLY TO ANTOÑIO
We paid Antoñio directly with the collaboration of Semilla Coffee $2.65USD/lbs for this batch.
To put this price into context, a grower in Honduras would need to receive a minimum of $2.00USD/lbs to support himself and his family.
At the time of our purchase in the spring of 2022, Antoñio would have received $2USD/lbs if he had sold his coffee to the regional cooperation and a maximum of $1.60USD/lbs if he had sold his coffee under Fair Trade certification.
