Price paid directly to producers

We paid Leno $6 USD/lb for this lot at the time of the purchase agreement.

This price is determined based on their production costs (labor, products, transportation), rather than the C market price, with a decent margin to ensure the viability of their work.

But this relationship goes far beyond the price received. It’s a long-term commitment designed to provide financial stability for Leno, and to contribute to the long-term sustainability of coffee farming.

In Central America, more than 80% of producers are small-scale—building a sustainable model starts here.

Producer: Leno Reynoso
Region: Mataquescuintla, Guatemala
Varieties: Pache San Ramon et Catimor
Process: Anaérobie Naturel
Lot: 760 lbs (2 x 69 Kg)
Altitude: 1750m

When Alex and his wife Irma, former leaders of the Colis Resistencia, reached out to us in 2024 to start a collaboration, we were deeply moved.
This coffee, grown by their son Leno, carries their story as well as that of the Xinca producers in Mataquescuintla, whose lands have been devastated by the impact of a Canadian mining company.
This lot represents an act of solidarity with this resilient community as they fight to protect their environment and natural resources.
